Finger Painting and a Book about Creativity, Courage and Productivity

When was the last time you finger painted?  It’s something I rarely let my daughter do.  After reading “Let the Elephants Run” by David Usher, I was inspired to let my daughter have fun finger painting (see pictures below).  I will talk about the finger paintings at the end of my blog post (can you guess what media I used?).  I would like to talk about the book first.

As you may have read, I find it a challenge to read books.  I am glad that I was able to borrow this book from the library.  With a set due date, I was forced to finish the book by a certain date.

It has been a very long time since I have read a book in a single sitting.  It isn’t that this book is short.  It’s over 200 pages.  It’s because I was so intrigued by the content.  My curiosity was captured to dive further into the pages.  It also helped that colourful phrases and visuals were interspersed among the very short “chapters”.

A Chocolate Tour That’s More than a Chocolate Bite

Recently I took advantage of a Groupon to attend a chocolate tour of Toronto with my BFF.  The tour was offered by Best Tours.  The itinerary showed six places that we would visit around the King and Queen Street West area near Bathurst Street.

When the tour started, we learned that they no longer go to SOMA chocolatemaker.  I wasn’t overly disappointed, as I have been there before.  If you haven’t been there though, you need to stop in to try their chocolates.  It is just steps away from the starting point of the tour.
